Mushroom Gravy/Masala

All we need is 10 - 15 mins. What adds more to the taste of mushroom in this recipe is the addition of tomoto-onion gravy and coconut milk. Cooking Mushroom is like a dream and this masala tastes so good that you will prepare this one often.

Masala Paste Ingredients

1 Onion (finely chopped)
1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
1/2 tbsp Fennel seeds
1 Tomato (finely chopped)
1 Green chilli
3 Red chilli
1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
Handful Coriander leaves
Salt as required

Gravy Ingredients

1 cup Coconut Milk
Little - Bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves
1 Onion (finely chopped)
1 Green chilli
1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
250gms Mushroom
Handful coriander leaves
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder

Masala Preparation

1. First add little Oil to the pan
2. Add add Red chillies and coriander seeds and roast little
3. Add chopped onion, curry leaves, fennel seeds and slit green chilli.
4. Once Onion turns golden brown, add ginger garlic paste to it.
5. After the raw smell leaves, add chopped tomato.
6. After some sauteing, add masala powders like turmeric, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
7. Pour little water to add the powders to the mixture.
8. Finally add some Coriander leaves and let it cool. 
9. Grind it into a fine paste in the mixture.

Gravy Preparation

1. Add oil and once it gets heated add the dry spices.
2. Add the onion and green chilli.
3. Once it gets sauteed, add the masala Paste and mix it up. 
4. Add the spice powders (Turmeric+ Red chilli+ Coriander).
5. Now add and mix the chopped mushrooms and leave it closed for some time.
6. Now add the extracted coconut milk
7. After adding it, leave it to boil the mushroom for some time.
8. Now add the pepper powder and garam masala.
9. Add the Coriander leaves finally and turn heat off.
