Leaf

  • A leaf is a flat, thin plant organ.
  • Leaves get their green color from a pigment called chlorophyll.
  • Chlorophyll absorbs energy from sunlight and produce food for the plant through a process called photosynthesis. 
  • Oxygen is released during this process.We use this oxygen to breathe.
  • Veins inside a leaf carry water and food to and from the leaves. 

Peas

  • They are small, round vegetables. 
  • They are among the oldest plants grown in the world. 
  • TheyaThey high in protein and full of vitamins. Green peas are good for kids as they make bones stronger.  
  • Peas belong to the legume family because they have pea(seeds) that grow inside pea pods(fruit).
  • Pea plant work with bacteria in the soil to ‘fix’ nitrogen from the air and deposit it in the soil and makes the soil fertile.

Capsicum

  • Originated in Americas and had beeb used in cooking since 6000 BC. 
  • Most species of Capsicum contains capsaicin that can produce a strong burning sensation in the mouth.
  • They are an excellent source of vitamins A and C. Good in Fibre and folate. 
  • In India, the bell pepper variety is called capsicum. It is available immature green state and its red(sweeter), yellow(mild flavour) or orange(sweet and crisp) ripe state. 
  • When you cut a purple/black capsicum the inside is coloured green.

Frog

  • Frogs are amphibians can live in water or on land. 
  • Frogs are similar to toads. A frog has smooth, moist skin, big, bulging eyes and long legs. A toad has rough skin and shorter legs. 
  • Frogs mostly spend their lives in water while toads prefer land. 
  • Frogs have webbed back feet to help them swim and can jump very well.
  • Frogs usually lay their eggs in water and that hatch into tadpoles.

Crocodile

  • The crocodile is a reptile that belongs to the family of Alligators.
  • It can survive on land as well as underwater. They move faster underwater compared to land.
  • They usually have 80 different kinds of teeth sharp pointed teeth to bite the flesh easily. But they are not made for chewing, so they swallow their prey completely. The crocodiles eat the flesh of humans, birds, animals, and marine creatures.
  • They are usually found near large water bodies like lakes, rivers, oceans, and seas.
